Reversal Stock Scanner for NSE
20 prebuilt scans · 5 buy-side and sell-side pairs · runs on live NSE candles
Reversal scans look for the first sign that selling is easing: an oscillator climbing out of an extreme, a bounce from a pivot or support level, or a dip inside a long-term uptrend. They aim to catch the turn early and so carry more risk than trend scans.
Oversold can stay oversold. Most of these scans add a confirmation, such as a green candle or an indicator turning back up, but a stop below the recent swing low matters more than the scan.
Reversal scans
Stochastic Oversold (%K and %D Below 20)
Both the Stochastic %K and %D lines are below 20, so the stock is closing near the bottom of its recent range. A mean-reversion watch-list, not a buy signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).
Stochastic Overbought (%K and %D Above 80)
Both the Stochastic %K and %D lines are above 80, so the stock is closing near the top of its recent range. Strong stocks can stay here for weeks, so it is a watch-list for exhaustion, not a sell signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).
MFI Oversold (Money Flow Index Below 20)
The Money Flow Index, a volume-weighted RSI, is below 20: heavy selling pressure on rising volume. A mean-reversion watch-list, not a buy signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 10 Cr+).
MFI Overbought (Money Flow Index Above 80)
The Money Flow Index, a volume-weighted RSI, is above 80: heavy buying pressure on rising volume. Strong stocks can stay here for weeks, so it is a watch-list for exhaustion, not a sell signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 10 Cr+).
CCI Crossing Back Above -100 (Oversold Turn)
The CCI closes back above -100 within the last 2 candles after being at or below it. Selling pressure is easing from an oversold extreme. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).

The CCI closes back below +100 within the last 2 candles after being at or above it. Buying pressure is easing from an overbought extreme. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).
Ultimate Oscillator Oversold (Below 30)
The Ultimate Oscillator, which blends three timeframes of momentum, is below 30. A broad oversold reading. A mean-reversion watch-list, not a buy signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).
Ultimate Oscillator Overbought (Above 70)
The Ultimate Oscillator, which blends three timeframes of momentum, is above 70. A broad overbought reading. Strong stocks can stay here, so it is not a sell signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).

Oversold in Uptrend (Buy the Dip)
RSI has dropped below 35 while the close is still above the 200-day average: a deep dip inside a long-term uptrend, the setup dip-buyers look for.
How traders use these scans
- Prefer oversold bounces in stocks above their 200-day average, where dips have been bought before.
- Wait for confirmation instead of buying the first oversold day.
- Check why a stock fell. A market-wide dip differs from a stock-specific negative event.
Scans list setups that match fixed rules. They are not recommendations and none is back-tested for an edge.
Frequently asked questions
What does oversold mean?
An oscillator such as RSI is at a low extreme after persistent selling. It says a bounce is statistically more likely, not that one is certain.
Are these scans buy signals?
No. They are watch-lists. Confirm with price action, volume and your own risk limit.
Is there a sell-side reversal scan?
Yes. The RSI overbought and overbought exhaustion scans are the counterparts, and sit under the momentum and bearish scanners.
