Ultimate Oscillator Overbought (Above 70)
The Ultimate Oscillator, which blends three timeframes of momentum, is above 70. A broad overbought reading. Strong stocks can stay here, so it is not a sell signal. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).
About This Scan
The Ultimate Oscillator blends momentum from three timeframes into one 0 to 100 reading, which makes it less jumpy than a single-period oscillator. A reading above 70 is the usual overbought level. This scan lists NSE stocks above 70 on Rs 5 Cr of last-session turnover. In a strong uptrend the oscillator can stay high for weeks, so treat the list as a watch-list for exhaustion, not a sell signal. On a strong market day the list can be long. The mirror scan is Ultimate Oscillator Oversold. For other overbought views, see RSI Overbought Stocks.

How To Use This Scan
- •Wait for a turn. A red close below the prior candle's low, or the oscillator moving back below 70, is the usual sign that buying is easing.
- •Check the trend. In a rising market, overbought stocks are often leaders, and selling them early is costly.
- •Holders can use the list to review stops. This scan has not been back-tested for an edge.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Ultimate Oscillator?
A momentum oscillator from 0 to 100 that combines three timeframes of buying pressure, so one noisy period matters less.
Why 30 and 70?
They are the usual oversold and overbought levels. They are a guide, not a rule.
Is overbought a sell signal?
No. It shows heavy buying. Many strong trends stay overbought for a long time, so wait for a turn or a break of support.
