Index Stock Scanner for Nifty 50, Bank Nifty and Midcaps
13 prebuilt scans · 6 buy-side and sell-side pairs · runs on live NSE candles
An index scan starts from a membership list and then applies a normal rule, so you can ask what is happening inside the Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, Midcap 150 or Smallcap 250 instead of across the whole market. A handful of heavyweights often decide the index's day, and these lists show which ones.
Most scans come as a buy-side and a sell-side twin, shown side by side. Index membership comes from the current constituents list, and day-level moves use the previous official close. The Nifty Bank lists are short because the index has about 12 stocks.

How traders use these scans
- Compare the gainers and losers lists to see whether a move is broad or carried by a few stocks.
- Use the midcap and smallcap scans to judge how far a rally or a sell-off has spread beyond large caps.
- Sort by change or relative volume, then open the chart of the heavyweights first.
Scans list setups that match fixed rules. They are not recommendations and none is back-tested for an edge.
Frequently asked questions
Where does index membership come from?
From the index composition list, which holds the current constituents. A stock added or removed by the exchange appears or drops off after the next update.
Why are some lists empty or very short?
A scan can match only a few stocks in a small index, and on a day when the whole index moves one way the other side may be empty. That is the scan working as intended.
Are these scans back-tested?
No. They describe where stocks are today, not what happens next.
