Event Calendar: Track Earnings, Dividends and Board Meetings Before They Reprice

The Corporate Event Calendar puts exchange-filed catalysts on one weighted tape: board meetings, results, dividend considerations, fund raising and structural actions from NSE and BSE filings. You can read it as a month calendar, a date timeline or a list. This guide explains the controls, the summary cards, the focus screens, the weighting and how to use the calendar with positions and options.

Controls and focus screens

  • Time window. Choose a forward or backward window, such as the next seven days.
  • Filed catalyst and universe. Filter to a catalyst type, and switch the universe between All, F&O and Cash.
  • Results only. An earnings-focused tape that hides everything but results agendas.
  • Live refresh and export. The tape refreshes about every five minutes, and the current selection can be exported as a CSV.
  • Focus screens. One-click views with counts: Full Tape, Earnings (results and combined-results agendas), Dividends (considerations and payouts), Capital Actions (fund raising, splits and bonus issues) and Today (catalysts scheduled for the current session).

Dates come from exchange filings and the page says so: agendas can move, so re-check before positioning around any single date.

The summary cards

Summary cards
CardMeaning
CatalystsThe number of catalysts in the window and how many distinct event dates they fall on.
SymbolsHow many symbols are involved and how many of them are F&O names.
EarningsHow many catalysts are results, with their average weight.
Busiest dayThe date with the most catalysts and its count, a direct view of cluster risk.

Calendar, timeline and list

Three ways to read the tape
ViewWhat it showsBest for
CalendarA month grid with each day's symbols and a colour legend for earnings, dividend, capital, split and board events, plus the selected day's detail below.Spotting crowded days and planning the week.
TimelineEvents grouped by date with a count for each date, each shown as a card with the symbol, an F&O tag, the company, an agenda chip such as Financial Results or Financial Results/Dividend, and the filed description.Reading what each company has actually filed.
ListA sortable table with the symbol, date and countdown, agenda, weight and description.Sorting and scanning many events quickly.

The weight is a catalyst significance from 1 to 5: earnings 5, dividends and fund raises 4, splits 3 and other business 2. It orders the tape so the most market-moving events surface first.

Using it with positions and options

  • Check overlap. Does an event fall inside your holding period or before your option expiry? A result between now and expiry changes how much volatility an option is pricing.
  • Prioritise F&O names. Events on F&O stocks near an expiry concentrate implied-volatility expansion, pinning and gap risk.
  • Read crowded dates as cluster risk. The busiest-day card shows when many results land together; they are not a diversified set of events.
  • Position ahead of the event, not after the headline. Repricing usually starts before the date, which is why implied volatility often rises into results and falls after.

Limits

A board meeting date is when the board meets, which may or may not be when results are published, and a dividend has separate record and ex-dates, so confirm the details in the filing itself. Companies defer results, add items and reschedule meetings, and the calendar cannot tell you the direction or size of the move. For how volatility behaves around events, see the implied volatility guide and the IV historical analysis guide.

FAQ

Event Calendar: frequently asked questions

01What does the weight mean?

It is a significance score from 1 to 5: earnings 5, dividends and fund raises 4, splits 3 and other business 2. It helps surface the most market-moving catalysts first.

02Why do F&O names matter most?

Events near an expiry concentrate implied-volatility expansion, pinning and gap risk in the options on that stock.

03What does the Results only switch do?

It narrows the tape to earnings agendas so you see only results dates, which is useful during results season.

04Can an event date change?

Yes. Companies defer results, add agenda items and reschedule meetings, so re-check the filing before positioning around a date.
