Why this is more useful than “fast MA above slow MA”
Signals are true cross events within 1–5 completed bars—not merely fast line above slow line. Live-bar events rank highest.
EMA stack, VWAP side, MACD/RSI and Supertrend form four independent alignment layers to expose fragile crosses.
Relative volume rewards moves with sponsorship. ADX separates developing trends from low-energy range conditions.
Line separation is compared with ATR so the same scoring logic works across high- and low-priced securities.
Indicator crossover screener
The Crossover Screener helps find stocks whose selected indicators have crossed, such as fast and slow moving averages or a signal line. It brings candidate charts into one list for review under a consistent timeframe.
Check the indicator settings, whether the candle has closed, and the stock's broader trend and volume. Crossovers lag price and can repeatedly reverse in a range. A completed crossover is an observation to test against support, resistance and liquidity, not confirmation of a lasting trend.
What is a golden cross and a death cross?
A golden cross is a shorter moving average crossing above a longer one (classic signal: 50 above 200) suggesting trend turned up; a death cross is the reverse. They are trend-state markers, not timing signals — the move that matters usually happens before the cross completes.
Are moving average crossovers profitable alone?
Rarely — they lag by construction and whipsaw in ranges. Profitability comes from filtering: volume confirmation, trend-strength context (ADX), and only trading crossovers aligned with higher timeframes. This screener applies those confirmations before ranking a crossover.
