FII DII monthly data — 2026 net flows (₹ Cr)
Read the flow in context
Use institutional activity as confirmation. Persistence and price response matter more than a single large print.
Follow persistence
Three to five aligned sessions carry more information than an isolated daily number.
Measure absorption
DII buying can cushion FII selling; compare the offset ratio with NIFTY price response.
Demand confirmation
Confirm flow regimes with breadth, market structure, volatility and your own risk framework.
Analytical information only. Institutional flow is not a standalone trading recommendation.
Cash flows, explained.
Know what the numbers measure before comparing them.
FII / FPI and DII activity
FII/FPI refers to foreign institutional or portfolio investors; DII refers to domestic institutional investors. Gross buying and selling are traded values in ₹ crore. Net flow is buy value minus sell value.
Daily and monthly FII DII data
Daily rows describe individual trading sessions. Monthly net flows sum the available daily figures for that month; the current month is incomplete. A positive net value means net buying, while a negative value means net selling.
Cash activity is different from F&O positioning
Cash-market net flows measure traded value; participant-wise open interest measures outstanding derivatives contracts. They use different units and answer different questions. Neither dataset identifies the intent of an individual trade.
Source and reporting limits
NSE cash-market trading activity is provisional and subject to revisions. The date above is the report date, not a real-time feed. Exchange holidays and publication or ingestion delays can leave the previous session visible.
View NSE source reportsFII DII data — frequently asked questions
01What is FII DII data in the stock market?
FII DII data reports the daily cash-market activity of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs/FPIs) and Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) on the NSE capital-market segment — gross buy value, gross sell value and the net figure for each group, published in ₹ crore after every trading session.
02Where does FII DII data come from?
The source is the NSE 'FII/FPI & DII trading activity in the capital market segment' report published on nseindia.com each trading day after market close. This page refreshes the same end-of-day report and adds charts, cumulative context, monthly history and the NIFTY response alongside it.
03What is the difference between FII and DII?
FIIs are foreign pools of capital — global funds, sovereign funds and foreign portfolios registered with SEBI — while DIIs are domestic institutions such as mutual funds, insurance companies and pension funds. Because their mandates and flows differ, their net figures frequently offset: heavy FII selling absorbed by DII buying is a common market-support pattern.
04How do I interpret FII selling and DII buying together?
Compare the net values and the price response. DII net buying can numerically offset FII net selling, but aggregate flows do not prove that one group bought directly from another or that prices will rise. Review several sessions alongside market breadth and price action.
05When is FII DII data updated each day?
NSE publishes the cash-market FII/DII report after the market closes, and the figures are provisional and subject to revision. The tables and charts on this page refresh with that end-of-day report every trading session.
FII and DII activity tracker
FII DII data summarises reported institutional buying and selling in the NSE cash market. The latest session figures, the last ten sessions and the running monthly summary are rendered directly on the page, with interactive charts, cumulative flow views and regime analytics in the analytics below.
Keep cash-market activity separate from derivatives positioning: participant-wise open interest lives on the participant data page, while this page tracks the capital-market segment. Net totals combine many participants and strategies; aggregate figures cannot establish whether a particular trade was hedged. Reporting delays and revisions matter when comparing these figures with intraday price action.
