What the Bulk Deals Radar is designed to find
This is a disclosed-flow intelligence desk for NSE and BSE bulk deals. Every print is enriched with a participant taxonomy, an event taxonomy, a multi-factor conviction score, repeat-print tracking and a symbol flow bias — so a trader can move from raw exchange disclosure to a ranked, explainable signal in seconds. Weight accumulation patterns (the same institutional desk printing repeatedly across sessions) far above any single large print: one block trade is noise, a desk accumulating through several blocks is the signal.
Participant taxonomy
Client names are classified into FII, DII, mutual fund, insurance, PMS/AIF, promoter and prop desks, because a ₹50 Cr print means something very different from LIC than from a prop book.
Event taxonomy
Prints are tagged accumulation, distribution, repeat flow, block activity (₹10 Cr+) or high conviction (top value decile) so the table can be screened by event quality, not just size.
Conviction model
Score = 45% value percentile + repeat prints (up to 30) + symbol flow strength (up to 18) + participant weight + event weight, clamped to 5–99 and graded A+ to C.
Risk framework
Each print carries a regime read: normal, crowded long, crowded short or volatile. High-conviction prints in a crowded regime are treated as risk, not opportunity.
Prioritize repeat prints from institutional desks in buy-dominant symbols, where conviction is high but the regime is not yet crowded, and validate with chart structure before sizing.
Market noteBulk deal disclosures arrive after execution — they map intent, not live orders. Client classification is heuristic, and risk regimes describe the crowd, not the outcome. Combine with price structure, liquidity and your own risk budget before acting on any print.
Bulk and block deals tracker
Bulk and Block Deals lists disclosed large transactions with available buyer, seller, quantity and price details. It helps investigate significant reported activity in a stock across one or several sessions.
Check the transaction category, date and participant identity against the disclosure. A large trade may reflect portfolio transfers, negotiated transactions or other motives beyond a directional investment view. Compare repeated activity with shareholding changes and fundamentals; transaction size alone does not establish accumulation or future returns.
What are bulk deals and block deals?
Bulk deals are exchange-reported transactions above a threshold quantity or value, disclosed with buyer and seller identities on the same day. Block deals are pre-arranged large trades executed in a special window. Both reveal institutions moving size at disclosed prices.
How can bulk deal data be used?
Mainly for footprint tracking: repeated buying by known institutions across sessions signals accumulation worth investigating alongside fundamentals; repeated selling into strength signals distribution. Single prints are noise — the pattern across prints is the information.
