Trading at Day High (Intraday)
Price is within 0.1% of the day's high after the stock has already traded at least 3% above its day low. Reads the live daily candle, so it updates with every new candle.
About This Scan
A stock trading at its day high is still being bought at the top of its range. This scan lists NSE stocks whose latest price is within 0.1% of the day's high, after the stock has already traded at least 3% above its day low, on Rs 5 Cr of last-session turnover. The 3% range rule removes stocks that have barely moved. It reads the live daily candle, so a stock drops off the list as soon as it slips from the high. The mirror scan is Trading at Day Low (Intraday).

How To Use This Scan
- •The list is long late in the day and short early. A stock still at the high in the last hour shows steady buying.
- •Check whether the stock is breaking a prior high or only recovering. A day high above yesterday's high carries more weight.
- •Chasing a stock at its high has a wide stop, since the day's low is far away. Consider waiting for a small pullback. This scan has not been back-tested for an edge.
Frequently Asked Questions
How close to the high is close enough?
Within 0.1% of the day's high. The latest completed candle's close must be at least 99.9% of the daily high.
Why require a 3% range?
Without it, stocks that open and barely move would also qualify. The rule keeps the list to stocks with a real intraday rise.
Does it use daily or intraday highs?
The daily high of the live daily candle, compared with the close of the latest candle on the interval you select (5m by default).
