Intraday Recovery (Bounced 3% Off the Low)
The stock fell at least 3% below the previous close at the day's low, has bounced 3% or more off that low and still trades below the previous close. Liquid stocks only (Rs 5 Cr+).
About This Scan
A stock that sells off at the open and then climbs back is showing buyers stepping in. This scan lists NSE stocks whose day's low was at least 3% below the previous official close, whose price is now at least 3% above that low, and which still trade below the previous close, on Rs 5 Cr of last-session turnover. It finds recoveries in progress, not stocks that have fully recovered. The list can be long on a day the market gaps down. The mirror scan is Intraday Fade.

How To Use This Scan
- •Look at the pace. A steady climb with rising lows is more convincing than one sharp spike off the low.
- •Check where the previous close and VWAP sit. A stock approaching both may stall or break through, so those are the levels to watch.
- •The day's low is the usual stop reference. This scan has not been back-tested for an edge.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the fall measured?
The day's low is compared with the previous official close from the daily chart, so it is not affected by gaps in the 5-minute data.
Why still below the previous close?
So the list holds recoveries still under way. Stocks that have already crossed back above are not listed.
Does it update during the session?
Yes. It reads the live daily candle, so the list changes with every new candle.
