Supertrend Sell Signal (Fresh Flip)
Supertrend turns bearish on the latest candle after the previous candle was bullish, with price below the Supertrend line. The first candle of a new Supertrend downtrend.
About This Scan
Supertrend trails price and flips direction when price closes through it, so a flip is a clear, rule-based trend-change signal. This scan lists NSE stocks where the Supertrend direction is bearish on the latest candle after being bullish on the previous candle, with price below the Supertrend line and turnover of at least Rs 5 Cr. It shows the first candle of a new Supertrend downtrend, not stocks that have been bearish for weeks.

How To Use This Scan
- •Use the Supertrend line as the stop reference. A close back above it flips the signal to buy.
- •Flips in a sideways market reverse often. A flip below a falling 50 or 200 DMA has a stronger backdrop.
- •Change the interval to 15m or 1h for shorter-term trades. Its mirror is Supertrend Buy Signal.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Supertrend sell signal?
The indicator switches from bullish to bearish, which happens when price closes below the Supertrend line.
Is it different from the Supertrend Bearish Pressure scan?
Yes. This scan shows only fresh flips on the daily chart. Bearish Pressure lists F&O stocks already below a bearish Supertrend with momentum, on 15-minute candles.
How often does it flip?
Often in range-bound markets and rarely in strong trends. Treat each flip as a signal to check the chart, not a trade by itself.
