RS Rating 10 or Lower Laggards (Below 50 DMA)
Stocks with an RS rating of 10 or lower (they have lagged at least 90% of the market) that also close below their 50-day average. Liquid stocks only (Rs 10 Cr+).
About This Scan
The RS rating ranks a stock's price performance against every other stock on a 1 to 100 scale, so a rating of 10 means it has lagged about 90% of the market. This scan lists NSE stocks rated 10 or lower that also close below their 50-day simple moving average, on Rs 10 Cr of last-session turnover. Stocks without a rating are skipped. The list is useful for avoiding weak stocks and for finding short candidates in F&O. The rating is refreshed daily. The mirror scan is RS Rating 90+ Leaders.

How To Use This Scan
- •Use the list to avoid weak stocks when you are buying, or as a pool of short candidates when you are selling.
- •Weak stocks can bounce hard. Wait for a failed rally or a breakdown from a base instead of selling the lowest price.
- •A long list means broad weakness in the market. This scan has not been back-tested for an edge.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a low RS rating mean?
The stock's price performance is in the bottom tier of all stocks. It has lagged the market for months.
Why are some stocks missing?
Stocks without an RS rating, for example very recent listings, are skipped so they are not mistaken for low-rated ones.
Does a low rating mean the stock will keep falling?
No. It describes past performance. Beaten-down stocks can reverse, so use a stop.
