Momentum Leaders (Above 50 DMA, RSI 60+, ADX 25+)
Close above the 50-day average, 20 EMA above 50 EMA, RSI at 60 or higher and ADX at 25 or higher, on liquid stocks (Rs 10 Cr+ traded). Strong, trending, and still being bought.
About This Scan
Momentum traders look for stocks that are strong, trending and liquid at the same time. This scan combines four checks on the daily chart: the close is above the 50-day simple moving average, the 20 EMA is above the 50 EMA, RSI is at 60 or higher and ADX is at 25 or higher. A turnover floor of Rs 10 Cr removes thin names. Stocks that pass are in an established uptrend with momentum behind it.

How To Use This Scan
- •Use it as a ranking pool, then pick leaders by relative strength, sector strength or distance from the 52-week high.
- •Extended stocks can pull back sharply. Prefer entries near the 20 EMA over buying the day's high.
- •A long list means a strong market. A short list means few stocks are trending.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does ADX above 25 tell you?
ADX measures trend strength, not direction. A reading above 25 means the current trend is strong. Together with a price above the averages, that trend is up.
Is RSI above 60 too late to buy?
RSI can stay above 60 for a long time in a trending stock. It shows strength, so judge timing with price levels and risk, not RSI alone.
How many stocks does it list?
It depends on the market. The count grows when many stocks trend together and shrinks in weak markets.
